“Now is the time for Latin-American artists…”

– Adriana Gomez

During Art Basel in Switzerland this summer Adriana Gomez (@adrigomezvv), Founder of @art_latinou, took in UBS Art Collection artist Jesús Rafael Soto’s monumental sculpture “Esfera amarilla”.

The never-before-exhibited monumental sculpture “Esfera Amarilla” by the Venezuelan artist Jesús Rafael Soto is making its grand debut. This remarkable artwork, created in 1984, is a tribute to Soto’s upcoming centennial anniversary. Soto, a renowned Venezuelan artist, was known for his kinetic sculptures that challenged our perception of reality and illusion. “Esfera Amarilla” beautifully showcases Soto’s main motivations, featuring painted metal and nylon thread in a mesmerizing display of light, color, and movement.
