His career is anchored by the creativity and craftsmanship he inherited from his parents. He began with work in the fields of jewelry, masonry, and construction, and earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the National University of Colombia in 2009.

Over a career spanning more than twelve years, Danilo has developed his sculptural work as a formal resource for capturing the ideas and realities of the human mind. His aesthetic principle, which consists of finding simple and common materials to maximize them in high-level artistic productions, stands out. His introspective search reflects the human capacity to generate habits, thoughts, fictions, and emotions; what happens in living spaces, emptiness, collective forces, mysteries, the material from the immaterial, translating this into objects of conceptual and aesthetic value. Thus, Danilo's work questions, in an existentialist manner, showing us perspectives of his imaginary reality.
