A graduate of the Universidad Iberoamericana with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Rodrigo decided to pursue his passion for photography and moved to Santa Barbara, California, to study at the prestigious Brooks Institute of Photography.
Upon completing his studies, Rodrigo moved to New York City, where he worked for two years with renowned photographer Mark Seliger and was part of the team that produced his latest book, "Listen." After two years working with Mark Seliger, Rodrigo began collaborating with Mexican photographer Enrique Badulescu, with whom he worked for another two years under his tutelage.
After five years in New York City, Rodrigo returned to Mexico to focus on his work, which has a unique voice and inspires viewers to appreciate images that show the world in a different way. Rodrigo enjoys experimenting with new techniques and ways of creating images. He uses not only photography but also painting and mixed media as his creative tools. His altered photographs are unique pieces that are created the moment the work is commissioned, giving collectors a piece of themselves in each piece.
